A unique Hunter Valley Wine & Food Month experience at The Vintage. The inaugural Cork & Fork Cup - June 22nd 2013

The emphasis is a day of wine and food indulgence, a true degustation showcase. Each tee on the golf course will feature a marquee and tasting samples from a local signature restaurant or premier Hunter winery. It is a unique way to experience and indulge in the best of the Hunter in one location, whilst enjoying the peaceful surrounds of a Greg Norman designed golf course.

Tastings marquees located on the course offer the perfect cross section of some of the Hunter Valleys finest wineries including Tyrrell’s, Lindeman’s, Ballabourneen, Peppertree, Oakvale, Peterson’s, Bimbadgen, Briar Ridge & Tallavera Grove, Wynwood Estate, Peacock Hill, Mistletoe, Tintilla, Blueberry Hill, Calais Estate, McGuigans, First Creek, Wombat Crossing and Kevin Sobels. Gather around your two-way open fireplace and relax in your luxurious Spa Villa. This self-contained living space of 96 square metres has an extra-spacious bedroom and bathroom, separate dining area plus a designer kitchen with quality appliances. Your bedding includes a King-sized bed and a double sofa bed. Guest car parking is by your villa, dine-in or eat out at Legends Grill. 

Dine in at Legends Grill and take advantage of our 2 and 3 course dinner special.

Entree

• 1/2 dozen Nelson Bay Rock Oysters - natural with red wine vinegar, eshallot and lemon OR baked with local maple-smoked bacon and worcestershire sauce
• Smoked salmon with truffle mayonnaise, quail egg, brioche, baby capers and red onion
• Seared scallops with creamed leek, crispy potato & chive cream
• 5 spiced confit pork belly with salt and pepper squid, lime and ginger chilli caramel
• Roast quail with fresh fig, onion marmalade, micro rocket lettuce and sweet and sour walnut dressing
• King prawn salad with fennel, celery cress, pomegranate, candied lemon and set verjuice

Main

• Pan roast barramundi with a crab and lobster parcel, spinach and shellfish sauce
  Roast duck breast and duck confit, pressed peach, spiced lentils and aromatic jus
• Fijian king prawn curry with coconut sambolm fresh chilli, roti and pilaf rice
• Ravioli of pumpkin, wild mushroom and sage, gorgonzola crumb
